AHAHAHAH. update.

Wow. How long has it been? ... who cares. :))

So what should I ponder to ramble about this... evening. Was that even grammatically correct? ... who cares. [[yet again.]] I'm going to start a list of things that has happened since... I can remember. Okay, since my last post which was about... holy hell! I haven't updated since PROM!?!

Okay. Let's start with that.

  1. Prom was (unfortunately) boring. My friends and I spent the evening in the girl's bathroom (It's a 5-star hotel bathroom so it isn't icky!) contemplating on why Mariel bought shoes she couldn't walk on.
  2. ... ah yes. Chemistry Investigatory Project. Well, it sucked. (Of course.) I mean, it's hard to accomplish such a thing by yourself. I mean, come on! ALL of my GROUPMATES were part of the COTILLION! Anyways, it's what I'd like to remember as a "Been there, Done that." sort of thing.
  3. What else? Skip the exams and procrastinating bits... ah yes! The recognition day. Yours truly was shocked to find out that she is the IT awardee (I want this award!) AND CLE awardee (shockers. really.) AND rank 4 in our batch! WOW. FOUR! One more and I could have a medal! Anywayz, while I was shocked to the bone, my friends (another shock as well) weren't surprised. Well, they beat Mom's reaction thought. She slipped as we were hurrying to get the CLE award.
  4. Dad got me a Nokia E71. It's RED. I love it! I try to tweet with it daily! (Yes. I have a twitter account now.) My cellphone's the same as Chuchi's (hers is white) and my pediatrician. (Holy hell! My phone's the same as my DOCTOR's!)
  5. Dad also got us a PSP. (4GB, slim, white) Though Ally's been hogging it most of the time. Like ALWAYS.
  6. I got a (quoting Jom) Big Ass USB. It's an external RED harddrive. I've been downloading reflexive arcade games since.
  7. Estelle, Mariel and CJ went here last Holy Week. Procession and stuff. "Annick! Ang banal ng pamilya mo!" LOL.
  8. We (family) went to NBS at Cubao and I bought TONS of books that I still haven't finished reading cause of AHEAD.
  9. AHEAD. My review center with Kuya LA. Kuya Dan's in the afternoon class.

I'll expand on the latter topic next time. This blog post is DONE.

Movies watched AND adored (with Jom and Therese): Watchmen & 17 again.

Watched alone and adored: Cruel Intentions.

a dose of reality in dresses...

It's February. And on friday, it's Prom Night.

Well, I've spent this weekend on a scavenger hunt for gowns, shoes and such. I should've believed what my cousin said the year before (eversince the start of Junior year actually) that I should already be preparing for the prom. Was it a coincidence that in about 2 shops I've been to was playing some kind of old song with a line "Rome wasn't built in a day..." Creepy.

Anywayz, if you compare my prom prepping time to the stories I've read... // Girl ponders over asking guy to the prom and all that. Or the cliche, girl looses big V during that day // it's completely different. I mean, I've spent last week worrying and pannicking like hell over our Chemistry Investigatory Project, which, miracously, was finished in a day - 1 am to be exact. In books, the girl would be angst-ridden to either a.) get the guy or b.) get the crown. Well, even if I wasn't in my world of books, it's unlikely I'd be pinning for a guy or the glory, I'm sure of that. But I imagined the 2 weeks before prom to be, well... 'pampering time' or something. But I just had to procrastinate with BOTH my project and prom plans. Great. Well, even some of my friends and classmates are in a panic mode like me. I wonder how they've dealt? Seeing as if there are only a few "mega" places to shop (Glorietta, Robinsons or Megamall - 2 out 3 in my case) it's a surprise I didn't run into them.

Or maybe I did. I was just stuck in my own angst-ridden world at the moment: I was in a bad mood during the dress shopping, and at Sari-Sari, I seemed like a, for a lack of a better word, bitch to my mom and tita. Oops. Sorry I was mean.

Saturday, I spent 1 pm - 5 pm at Robinsons Galleria and after no luck on the hunt, we dared to explore SM Megamall for the suitable dress. We went to Karimadon where my mom and tita liked this blue green long gown. It looked... nice. Except my mind kept thinking the color didn't suit me and I was betraying Estelle (she liked that color!) in a way. Next we headed off to Cinderella. Chuchi saw this simple yet elegant and gorgeous (though I didn't want to admit at first) midnight blue tube-top ball gown. It was the last one and it was too big. Oh well. I also feared that if I did buy it, I might have the same gown as a senior since: a.) they are required to wear a ball gown, b.) it's gorgeous, c.) everyone will look at Cinderella and most likely buy there, and d.) it's blue! So we went to the department store and I saw Estelle's gown! :)) It looks nice. But thought she planned on wearing a cocktail and something blue green... hn. Well, I thought I would be wearing something orange. (According to my fortune, my lucky color is yellow orange) Anyway, our last stop (and hope) is at Sari-Sari. Estelle told me she found not much there. I also didn't. Only Mom and Chuchi.

They liked this brown- fancy it up a bit? Call it bronze. sheesh.- and gold dress. It's not floor length but maybe up to my ankles. The top is a corset which I, upon trial, immediately detested. How the heck am I supposed to eat now??? The color is... passable. Design? Too simple. The top is a tube, and I wanted a bolero but they didn't have any that would match so we gave it to the seamstress and added straps. We'll get it on Monday. Honestly, it wasn't the dress I was expecting... and I hated it at first. Now... it's okay. It's not the dress of my dreams (if I even have one!) but what can you do?

The exploration for shoes and a pouch was saved by Tita Ana. She had a brown dress (a.k.a the last resort) so she had matching bronze shoes and a bag. Saves me another day. We left the mall at its' closing time: 10 pm.

And you think I got rest on Sunday? If you consider scouting at 10 am (the opening of the mall, how ironic.) for strapless, nude-colored... umentionables and spending the afternoon studying for a chapter test in AP and Chemistry a walk in the park, then it's considered rest.

The prom should be, if not magical, which I highly doubt will be, at least pleasing for all this hard work. Rushed hard work. Or at least after the prom. I'm sleeping over at Mariel's house. :)

Oh, and I have this new thing for Katy Perry's songs. :)

January 25, 2009

so fast

I was in a bad mood today... and to think I've been asleep almost all day! I don't why. I was just so tired.

Anyway, here's the result of the Cheerdance competition... the champion is... the seniors. They broke the record. In a positive light, it's our duty to continue the legacy :) Next year, when we are the seniors, we'll win too. But despite that, I had a great fair. It probably has a lot to do with my batch being the "JAILERS". I didn't waste money on kiss marks, body binds and jails (duh) this year. Hahaha. :) I also love our red DANGER ribbons. Cool :) As tradition, my friends and I bought the cheap snow cone. Hahaha. But it's not so cheap now. It used to be only 10 pesos when we were in Grade four and now it's 20 pesos! Getting back on the cheering thing, I was a bit pissed at Jom for attending the fair but was not able to watch my batch perform but more on Kuya Dan at not attending at all. They would've enjoyed the tinikling. Everyone did. Actually, the third year had a lot of supporters. Proof? A second year's mother (mom's friend from Ally's class), Ate Trisha's batch (Seniors last year...) and even a couple of random people whom Mariel's mom overheard saying that we will be the champions. But no. Is it a coincidence that the Seniors regained victory after 7 years? I know 7's a lucky number. If my batch broke it, we'd be 8th and I thought it's the Chinese's symbol for infinity. Our batch name is uno infinitum after all. One forever.

After cheering, Peanutz, Jom and I enjoyed the rides. Actually, we only rode the Ferris Wheel together since Peanutz didn't want to ride the Octopus. Too bad. I love the Octopus! It wasn't even that scary. The one we rode at Ateneo is higher. Anyway, later we went to watch the Phat Gurlz Crew concert. It would've been a real blast if we weren't so tired and the show started on time. Then we went to Power Plant and ate at Crepes & Cream! I love it! Proof? That's my second time eating there... the first time was the day before. :) We got home around its' closing time and we sang Baby We're Invincible by A Rocket to the Moon by the steps at JP Rizal. We were half expecting the people to throw money at us. It was only our 2nd trip out together and someone got scolded again. It was Jom. Is it my turn next?

I'm pannicking now. The Investigatory Project is due project and I've done NOTHING.

3 things I love at the moment: My batch jacket (love the red!), A Modern Faerie Tale series by Holly Black and Hey Juliet by LMNT.

revitalizing

Tomorrow is the school fair! Hooray! :) And on Saturday is the much awaited, of course, cheering competition. We watched the final dry run today with the props that we, the props people, have labored for oh I'm not sure, a week perhaps? Anyway, I'm glad it's finished. But that reminds me that we still have to decorate the jail booth-- after years of waiting, I'm finally going to experience what is to be a JAILER! woohoo! Anyway, how are we supposed to decorate a jail booth (supposed to be fierce looking and stuff) with a theme "Revitalizing the Rosenan Spirit?" Roses with thorns? Idea rejected.

As we, namely me and Eevee, were painting the jail, a few elementary students came up to us and asked about the booth. My god. I'm good in English when it comes to writing but an articulate speaker? Give me a script please. But that's when I realized how different we (as in my batch's generation) from the elementary students nowadays. First of all, the english thing. I know the school is trying to promote the language through speak for a star but... we're Filipino for pete's sake! Secondly, I think there's something disturbing about their liking to be jailed. Yes. They actually want to be jailed. How sick (if that's not a strong word) is that? One of them actually asked me if I'll let her in if she pays me 200 Pesos. Like I said, twisted.

On the Cheering Competition this Saturday, all I can say is: wow. The performances from all batches were so amazing! I was cheering all throughout my batch's performance and not because we're required to do so as a proof of loyalty and support but because I really couldn't help myself. And to think I doubted our umm... unconventional choreographers. The Freshmen were cute and the Sophies, whose choreo is friends with ours, are okay. The Seniors however... wow. A perfect performance: routine, cheer and props. Not to mention originality. They might be the ones to break the so-called 'curse' wherein for 7 years, no Senior class has ever won the cheering. But I think... feel that their cheer lacks something... SPiCE I think. Something that my batch has... or maybe this is just my loyalty speaking. But either way, I'm excited for Saturday. We have batch jacket! It's a shade of blood red (I seem to have a penchant for that color since Junior year) with our surnames at the back. How official looking is that?

But even if I can hardly wait for Saturday, I'm still excited for tomorrow. We're going to spray our prisoners with water mixed with gold glitters. Fun. :)

Red-hot.

P.S. Oh and by the way, I decided to make a list of books I have read since the first day of the year. This should be fun... and long.

January 18, 2009

by the way...

I finally read Revelations, the 3rd Blue Bloods book by Melissa de la Cruz. It's either that I'm lazy to do a review or it just didn't have that big impact on me. Anyway, here's a brief, bulleted review.
  • The ending sucks. It's not an epilogue, it's a crapilogue.
  • There's a hidden chapter. I'm annoyed that it's not published because I love that chapter more than the other published chapters.
  • It's truly "Revelations"
  • Monday: My Ate Carllyn told me it's so great. I was so enthusiastic. I told my friends, specifically Mariel and Hazel "Wag nyo ko pipigilan!"Little did I know they'd take it too seriously... // Friday: I bought it. Spent 599 Pesos for it.
  • I can't wait for the other books.
  • I will never doubt Ms. Melissa de la Cruz ever again. I thought Blue Bloods would be a bit shallow considering the fashion statements and luxuries implied throughout the books. I know, shame on me.

Okay. Time to study for my Computer exam.

January 4, 2009

I hope I'm wrong

The start of the year looks... grim. It's only been four days but I've already had a fair share of mishaps. A list...
  • An absurd video of me & Peanutz going wacko over a cockroach. Directed by Jom with Sirius Black and Harry Potter as extras. [[At least there's a laugh...]]
  • Almost missing the first day of the year mass... insert an alternative and the punishment is stuck in the house... and to think I rarely wanted to go outside!
  • PROCRASTINATION running circles in my head! Chemistry anyone?
  • Braces. My teeth hurt and I feel uncomfortable talking even smiling. It's like I have... hard gum stuck on my lower jaw
  • Tamora Pierce books - A new kind of read for me. It's still fantasy but with a touch of the Middle Ages - pages, squires, knights, chivalry and all that...

Let me ramble on Tamora Pierce. I've recently downloaded her e-books and I started reading the first 2 books of "The Song of the Lioness quartet"... I didn't want to continue reading the last 2 books because (such a silly reason/excuse...) the characters I like weren't going to get together. I know, stupid sissy. Anyway, I decided to start on "The Protector of the Small quartet" and I'm already on the 3rd book... I KNOW the main character isn't going to be together with her man of the moment (she's not a slut! she just has many crushes, not that there's something wrong with that.), well that's okay. The one I like for her is her best friend and she only had a fleeting crush... at least she hasn't admitted her feelings. So anyway, what I don't like about this quartet is that she doesn't end up with ANYBODY.

I know I sound like a whinny pig who only cares about the heroine's romance, but I guess I just read too much romance books. Man, I sound sad. Poor bookworm. boo-hoo and blah blah blah. Tamora Pierce is all about feminism so shoo Harry Potter. I guess that the message of her books is "I don't need a man to make me happy." Go go go!

But please! Spare her heroines the heartache! I'm guessing none of my classmates would want to read this because of it's "corniness" [[I'm of the minority who actually reads fantasy books]] and lack of romance. Speaking of romance, I need to wrap my book. Estelle's going to borrow it.

School starts tomorrow.

My supposed-to-be New Year post turned out to be a ramble on romance. How sad.

in half

Happy Moments :) -- the recent memorable ones.

Jom: [reading the DVD excerpt of Wild Child]... addicted to Jimmy Choos. Who's he?
Annick: They're shoes.

-While watching Wild Child-
~Emma Roberts falls into the water~
Therese: Wow!
That's a big swimming pool!

Jom: That's the
ocean.
Bittersweet read. ♥ Six Feet From Paradise by JD Allen ~ something worth publishing.
It seems as if I can't get the idea of a bittersweet romance (parted by death) out of my head this holiday... I'm so weird.

December 27, 2008

Another ♥ good read.

This is similar to the other book I read and reviewed in this blog. About the female obsessed with a romance novel and such? Yeah. I can totally relate with these good finds.

Confessions of a Serial Kisser is written by Wendelin Van Draanen, author of Flipped which I have read and adored. And for that purpose did I decided to buy it. Yesterday, before we went to EK. So anyway, if I probably didn't know the author, I wouldn't have spent 514 on this book thinking it's just one of these shallow romance novels about catfights and stilettos. The excerpt on the cover of the book wasn't useful at all, describing about the 'pull of kiss' or such. Now that I've finished reading it taking about an hour yesterday at 3 am and the whole morning before lunch, I've decided I love this author and her books.

I love it.

It's about Evangeline, a 17 year old girl who got addicted to her mom's romance novel, Crimson Kiss, describing about a glorious, perfect kiss that would make her feel alive. So begins her quest. Add in the boy troubles because of her spontaneous kisses, her Dad's unfaithfulness which has led to divorce and now tries to rebuild their family again and soon after "friendship problems" cause Evangeline to just stop with the conquest and re-evaulate everything. With an open ended finale (similar to Flipped) and a winning last line, this book went to my favorites. Well, it gave me something to think about too.

I can't wait to tell my friends & classmates a.k.a. addicted romance readers as well.

Spoiler alert! The winning last line/s....

The crimson kiss isn't something you can chase, because it's more than just the passionate meeting of mouths. It's a confession.

It's the truth your lips whisper to someone you love.

That line won me over. :)

The irony and summary

It's been a while...

About a month and more. My last post was just after sembreak... ta-da! It's already half of the Christmas break. Well, I've been busy. Yes, really busy. If not, I've been too much of a worrywart to get my thoughts straight or a procrastinator to write a single word. A lot has happened. A lot. Let's make a list of the memorable ones shall we... [[FYI This blog is turning out to be journal.]]

Let's start with something... academically related... something about my future after highschool... whatever that future might be. I'm talking about... The Ateneo Junior Summer Camp. [[Or something within those words.]] What's that? Not only does it boosts my confidence because I realized that I was told I am part of the top 5 of my batch [[top 4 to be exact]], but also, this campt thingy is a great, big, awesome, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for moi. To keep it short, here's the deal: Top 5 of selected schools in the country take an exam. Only the top 70 students can partake in the summer camp designed to train us for college life. And get this: once you get in, there is no need for an entrance exam for the said school. How frickin' awesome is that? :) But with the way things are going on for me right now... I have lots of doubts... school-related doubts. I know. What a nerd. Can I help it? [[Random: Chris Tiu!]]

Next on the list is the intramurals. Or the somehow intramurals. Aside from the fact that Charlotte is the muse of our batch [[that's my friend! woohoo~! :)]] and that it was the first time I got really excited for the intrams, to put it bluntly, it sucked. Carllyn and I and the others were not really able to participate in the activities because we became school representatives on some IT contest [[which sucked too.]] . And also not forgetting the fact that our batch... well, we were losers, literally. The only games we won were indoor games. So we're intellectually competent, nice. Well anyway, I really felt bad during the intrams, especially during the IT thing... I was sorry for my Ate C. She wanted to play so badly... I tried to sympathize since... well, I'm not an athletic person and so it does not have some big importance to me other than supporting my batchmates. This 'thing' fueled me to do my best during the IT contest... I wanted to win so that my Ate's efforts are not lost, or a waste to leave the intramurals. But it turned out very differently. I was depressed, and even as I recount it now, I still do.

Another thing to mention would probably the Kris Kringle. Our codenames were boys' names, my name was my brother's: Andre :) Anyway, funny that the secrecy and thrill was lost just a few days. My baby turned out to be my seatmate, Patitay. How she found out? She went to my house and saw the chocolates I gave her earlier that day. And on the same day did I found out who my mommy was: Jenina. Our conversation at the bathroom was hilarious! It turned out like this:

J: Annick, kilala mo na ba baby mo?
A: Oo. Ikaw?
J: Hindi eh. Kilala mo ba kung sino si Andre?
A: O.o -insert pause- :)) hahahahahahaha!

Our wishlists are cool too: we had so many similar wants! Revelations by Melissa dela Cruz [[speaking of which, I haven't bought one.]], a t-shirt from Artwork [[passed on to my 'family tree' during the revelations]], blank notebook from Fully Booked and a Little Miss Rosena t-shirt. :)

During the Christmas party, we had another flour fight. BTW, the theme was statement shirts and colored jeans. I had a trouble finding colored jeans [[I was supposed to wear white but it was banned! I bought a brown one.]] but I loved my statement shirt, though I would've prefered a custom one or from artwork or from David and Goliath: Save the earth! Eat animals! But I love my RED shirt! It said: Every child is an artist. :)

Oh, and for the first time ever, I've decided to attend the Misa de Gallo [[with my Dad and Tita Liz]] and guess what... I might be able to complete it! Tomorrow's the last day! :) A wish come true? I hope so! But which wish...

Other discoveries:
  • Martinsays.com - I've found out Martin Johnson is a regular blogger, maybe even a techie, a humorous and insightful writer and a YouTube lurker! =))
  • Tamora Pierce - I've just started reading her books [[e-books]] yesterday and I was hooked! Unfortunately, I read a spoiler about the ending of her quartet and you know happy endings are my pet peeve, especially if it concerns a couple... gah! I'm getting pissed again!
  • Some epiphanies... mostly not so good.

October 30, 2008

It's not dark. You're just BLIND.

Keep telling yourself "Reality is better than fiction." I've finished reading "Austenland" by Shannon Hale [[I love the book!!]] and in one of the reviews, it mentions the earlier statement. I irony? It's also a novel. Like blind leading the blind. The story is about a young woman, very single because she keeps comparing every guy to Mr. Darcy, her obsession. Though I'm not a fan of Pride and Prejudice [[I'm TRYING to read the book and see what the fuss is all about...]], I understand that Boys in Books are so much Better. It's a great story. About letting go, moving on and taking a stand. [[Though it's not as dramatic as I put out.]]

It was worth my savings. :) But I wasn't surprised, Shannon Hale is one of my most favorite authors.

But after a bad haircut, I find reality very... annoying. It's like wanting to enter a dream and never wake-up or go through a mirror to another world or something... what a novel idea. But then again, after a few days of trying to get over... stuff. I might reconsider.

Epiphany: Aside from being myopic, I'm blind. [[I thought these things only happen in book but...]] And I'm so stubborn I frustrate myself as well.

Other News:

  • HSM3 is my favorite out of the 3 movies.
  • Got scolded that day...
  • Ear Piercing hurts even if you just look at it.
  • I'm broke.
  • I don't watch Filipino Movies just because.
  • I have a long Christmas list.
  • After eons, I finally updated my FS.
  • Natsume and Mikan is still
  • I'm still a GA fangirl.

As proof, here are some GA AMVs I adore :) [[It's in my iPod]]

Breaking Dawn

Yup. The fourth (and last, not counting Midnight Sun) book of the Twilight Series.

BEFORE READING THE BOOK:

Of course, there would be spoilers. MAJOR spoilers too.

1) Bella would get pregnant.
2) Jacob would have his own POV

But probably the biggest (and worst) I've heard is:

3) Jacob's going to imprint on Bella and Eward's daughter. [[eww.]]

People said it was a disappointment. That my money would just be wasted on it. But still, I'd give the book a shot. After all, I've been WAITING for it to be released and I'd already reserved a copy. I didn't have expectations though, whether it would be bad as they say or maybe... just okay. I'm not a fan of Bella... so I don't fancy the book that much. Besides, I was already [[and still am]] pissed that Robert Pattinson would play Edward. NO NO NO! Lots of people would back me up. But it's pointless. The movie's done and all that, so there. Go watch it [[The release date was advanced to November 21st, and Harry Potter, which was supposed to come out on the date aforementioned would be premierring on earlier next year. I wonder why... gah. Don't care.]]

So anyway, my cousin "Peanuts" borrowed the book before I managed to buy it. And she hinted that there were lots of... innuendos. And to think that this is the first in the Twilight Saga she's read. What a turn off. She also said "Bella = slut. Poor Edward." Well, no surprise.

Last Saturday I bought the book, amazingly, the last copy at NBS. What a miracle! I was GLAD. Super. It's a miracle if you think about it [[simple joy]]. "Hahaha! Because of me, it's sold out!" Well, that's just me. A bit cruel. ^-^

And then I started to read.

WHILE READING THE BOOK:

I was entranced with Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse that I managed to finish it about 1 and half days. But it took me 3 days to finnish Breaking Dawn, and not because it's longer than the others. I couldn't read it straight, especially the parts where Bella narrated, without getting a bit... flustered. Are the publishers sure that it's for YOUNG ADULTS? And oftentimes I imagine the characters to be R.Pattinson and Kristen Stewart [[I don't like her voice...]] so that was... disturbing. I used the Tom Sturridge bookmark for... convenience. Something to keep me reading without (much) discomfort. But I still couldn't read it straight.

I laughed out loud when Jacob narrated. I thought I would hate his part, imaging it to be "Woe is me and my unrequited love" but it was very amusing. Especially his banters with Rosalie. I became fond of Jacob through this book.

Edward... became a bit of a minor character. He was in so much pain throughout the book, all because of his love for Bella. Poor Edward. I didn't seem much of a love story anymore [[except for the you-know-what parts. Too much of that actually. :(]] and he wasn't as "dazzling" as before. The burning man as Jacob put it.

AFTER READING THE BOOK:

Breaking Dawn is very different from the other two books. I think it got sidetracked from the young adult theme actually. I wouldn't say it is a disappointment. [[Hell, a lot of people already says that.]] But if you ignore the innuendos, too formal and serious discussions and annoying main character, it's... just okay.

A thing that made Breaking Dawn memorable for me is Jacob, and also adorable Renesmee. Like her father, she has 'dazzled' me! They're so cute together! If you ignore the fact that Jacob used to have a thing for her mom and that she's only months old but growing quite rapidly, that is. Honestly, I like the pair a bit more than Edward and Bella. Maybe because I don't like Bella and I think Edward's too perfect for her.

It was a happy ending... almost too perfect actually.

And you know what, I'm still confused why it's called Breaking Dawn.

Comparing...

I said I like The Host more than The Twilight Series... now [[all thanks to Jacob and Renesmee]]... I don't know. But it seems like Breaking Dawn would fit more into the Adult genre than The Host.

There were a lot of negative feedback about Breaking Dawn, in Amazon, in magazine reviews, even in forums! All I can say is... Poor Stephenie Meyer.

In the end, the Twilight Saga is just... okay for me. [[Maybe a little bit more.]]

July 13, 2008

ennui kills pandas. give a spark.

School has been "okay. yup. sure. really? hmm... lalalala. nice. awww." lately. Translation: I've been feeling a bit impassive and BORED. My primary pic in Friendster has a title "ennui kills pandas. give a spark." for obvious reasons.

Let me say type it again. I'm bored. And the ironic thing is, I'm doing nothing to keep myself busy. It's a scary thing now that I think about it.

Another ramble for me: I need cash. Well, maybe not really need but umm... require cash in order to purchase some novels and thus saving me from monotonous days and senseless... stuff. Breaking Dawn would be out by August 2 and I already reserved a copy. There are also quotes on Stephenie Meyer's website, updated daily. I CAN wait. Because I think Twilight lost it's spark when the official movie cast came out. It's disturbing to think of THE EDWARD whenever I re-read the book. [[which is still hostaged by my cousin, not that I care... much.]]

Then on October comes out the third book in the Blue Bloods series "Revelations." This I CANNOT wait for.

Others on my list? Let's see The 2 remaining books from The Dark Magician Trilogy, The Opal Deception - 4th Artemis Fowl novel, Seeing Redd [[I think it's out...]] and Austenland, a novel by Shannon Hale. It's bit of a Pride and Prejudice-thingy [[duh. Jane AUSTEN]] and I was a bit reluctant at first since startlingly and disturbingly my hand didn't get numb when I watched the movie [[starting Keira Knightly]]. Translation: There's no KILIG factor. Or chu chu. And another thing, it costs 580 pesos. Poor wallet.

68% DoMO Patcher. Guess what? I'm trying out another RPG [[I've lost count to how many I tried to play]] called Dream of Mirror Online. Sounds cool. But then again, so did the others.

I love witty quotes. And funny meteorologists on YouTube.

Random.

SWEET!!!

Patience is a good thing. Yup. Now I know. I'd been struggling to get my hands on some books [refer to my past list] and now that exams are over, I have more than enough cash, and PLENTY of time- I finally managed to get the books I want... and more. -insert smug grin here-
So what now? I don't really feel like babbling all the gibberish stuff about my books [okay, I'm too lazy alright?] here are just some sentences on what I feel:

1. YAHOO! MY LIST IS HALF-COMPLETE!!!!
2. Schuyler and Jack are ssssoooo cute together! ~Fangirling
3. ahaha! I still have some cash left to buy DVDs!
4. Will this fit in my new luggage?
5. How many books should I bring?
6. Which book should I start next? Hmm...
7. SWEET!!!!

Yes yes yes. I feel so good. =)

So what else have I been doing these last few days? Well, downloading some new music to my iPod AND the Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End movie... though it takes a LOT of space... only 1GB left actually... and umm... downloading e-books, reading fanfiction and stories on fictionpress, sleeping, trying not to EAT, talking on the phone with Estelle, giving and receiving friendster comments...

What else should I remember to do this summer?
= MAKE TO-DO LIST
= Wrap books in plastic
= TRY to FIX room
= Get picture cards from Estelle
= Give b-day present to baby Dino

What else to look forward this month?
Going to Plaza Fair on Tuesday and MAGEC reunion next week!

SWEET. =)

Moonlit smiles.

We were supposed to be practicing but there were so few of us that we ended up... procrastinating.

Oh well. We still have a week to go. One more blasted week till the play. Two more freakin weeks till Freedom. And one month till it's buh-bye. I'll miss TLC! I'll miss Girls Like Chicken! I'll miss those who are transferring next year!

Anyway, last Friday was... twistedly fun. Yeah. We didn't practice, we didn't eat a full meal [dinner = Krispy Kreme?!?!], we weren't able to buy Masquerade [kill me.] and Mediator [terminated.] that we [All of us except Mariel] were dying to buy [Now that we had cash that is...] or the shoes that they [Estelle and Pop Tart Ivanne] wanted to buy...

But in a way, we were content. All it took was some icing and sprinkles at Martha's Cakes, a full moon rising up the sky [we were amazed. no need for pity.] a few magic words from Estelle "Inaantok na ko..." and a magic trick... well, an ALMOST accomplished magic trick. [Bad timing for the driver to arrive!]

But unbelievably, we had fun.

[okay, kill me later after I reminisce.]

p a n n i c k [and depression.]

Let me quote my my shout out in friendster.
PA·NNICK
noun. plural: panics
→overpowering fear or anxiety
→funny person or thing (slang)

I have been making A LOT of mistakes [mostly wrong decisions] this past week. I don't even want to write ANY of it here... to embarrassing.
Well, maybe I'll tell you about my LATEST mistake.
Today I went to the mall, hoping to buy Masquerade by Melissa da la Cruz, the sequel to her Blue Bloods novel. And just my luck, [or lack of it.] I checked FOUR bookstores and it's all SOLD OUT. -sigh- And to think now is the time that I HAVE MONEY and the books are ON SALE. How pathetic. I really didn't want to go to the mall... I'm not much of a shopper anyway. But wishful thinking... nevermind.
-groans- I have TONS to do for Monday... and I could've accomplished HALF of it if I haven't been so... STUPID. [Infinity times.]
I know. So negative. Not the usual me. But I just feel so MISERABLE.
Bite me.

Oh. And check out this pic. It's so sadistic that I love it.

Pure Coincidences

Vampires.
I started to become... well, addicted or fascinated about them eversince I started reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.
So now, I'm reading Vampire Knight- a manga by Matsuri Hino, and I've just finished reading Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz.
There's a coincidence... an incest. Well, not exactly an incest, but the brother-to-sister pairing...
In Blue Bloods, there are the twins Jack and Mimi [who I really hate] Force bound by blood since birth. And then there's the revelation in Vampire Knight that Yuuki Cross, is actually the younger sister of Kaname Kuran and her betrothed.
Coincidence? All the vampire novels I've read [which is actually very very few] have many differences in their 'legends' or origins. But it's a cool coincidence isn't it?
Well anyway, now that I've finished reading Blue Bloods, here's my opinion on it:
There's not much romance in Blue Bloods as there is in Twilight, but the former book is still a page-turner for me. I may be a romance reader [at times. more of a fantast reader actually...] but I was drawn to the mystery behind Blue Bloods. The legend stuff on the Blue Bloods- or vampires, is so... interesting, not cliche' at all. That's why... that's why... I WANT TO BUY MASQUERADE NOW NOW NOW!
Okay, I'm acting very spoiled. Bad.
But it's true. Man, I'm spending a lot on books nowadays. I'm not even watching anime anymore! Getting too addicted to books! But that doesn't mean I don't like anime anymore... I just don't have time. Oh well, summer's drawing near. That means I have to start SAVING for anime DVDs and books.
Speaking of books, the one I bought on a booksale, Caribbean Cruisin', has been circulating for a while now... hmm...

Extremely Ecstatic

iLabLabBooKs. =) I know I'm a bookworm and so?
Chuchi and I went to the [kinda] main branch of National Bookstore in Cubao. And gosh, there were 4 floors of books! Our eyes hurt from browsing all the bargain books and our hands were covered with a thin LAYER of dust. But it was worth it. =) Coming a long way there... riding the MRT [When was the last time I rode there before yesterday?]... because I managed to buy 3 books included in my booklist.
Yes, I made a list... a long list... of books I wanted to buy.

Yes. I am so materialistic. But hey, this is better than spending my money on clothes or shoes. I least I get to learn something... ahahaha. Nerd. I know... It's very disturbing.
