revitalizing

Tomorrow is the school fair! Hooray! :) And on Saturday is the much awaited, of course, cheering competition. We watched the final dry run today with the props that we, the props people, have labored for oh I'm not sure, a week perhaps? Anyway, I'm glad it's finished. But that reminds me that we still have to decorate the jail booth-- after years of waiting, I'm finally going to experience what is to be a JAILER! woohoo! Anyway, how are we supposed to decorate a jail booth (supposed to be fierce looking and stuff) with a theme "Revitalizing the Rosenan Spirit?" Roses with thorns? Idea rejected.

As we, namely me and Eevee, were painting the jail, a few elementary students came up to us and asked about the booth. My god. I'm good in English when it comes to writing but an articulate speaker? Give me a script please. But that's when I realized how different we (as in my batch's generation) from the elementary students nowadays. First of all, the english thing. I know the school is trying to promote the language through speak for a star but... we're Filipino for pete's sake! Secondly, I think there's something disturbing about their liking to be jailed. Yes. They actually want to be jailed. How sick (if that's not a strong word) is that? One of them actually asked me if I'll let her in if she pays me 200 Pesos. Like I said, twisted.

On the Cheering Competition this Saturday, all I can say is: wow. The performances from all batches were so amazing! I was cheering all throughout my batch's performance and not because we're required to do so as a proof of loyalty and support but because I really couldn't help myself. And to think I doubted our umm... unconventional choreographers. The Freshmen were cute and the Sophies, whose choreo is friends with ours, are okay. The Seniors however... wow. A perfect performance: routine, cheer and props. Not to mention originality. They might be the ones to break the so-called 'curse' wherein for 7 years, no Senior class has ever won the cheering. But I think... feel that their cheer lacks something... SPiCE I think. Something that my batch has... or maybe this is just my loyalty speaking. But either way, I'm excited for Saturday. We have batch jacket! It's a shade of blood red (I seem to have a penchant for that color since Junior year) with our surnames at the back. How official looking is that?

But even if I can hardly wait for Saturday, I'm still excited for tomorrow. We're going to spray our prisoners with water mixed with gold glitters. Fun. :)

Red-hot.

P.S. Oh and by the way, I decided to make a list of books I have read since the first day of the year. This should be fun... and long.
