Bye bye Summer o9!

The Book of Answers was wrong!

M's my classmate! And E & CJ & C! Hello IV-St. Rita. :) Only, MA is not my classmate, and CB. MA's been my classmate since 1st year! Well, actually, I think since grade 5 but we were not that close back then. -sigh- That just sucks. To think it'll be our last year since we're going off to different colleges after graduation. Oh, and another thing that bothers me this year is that we're only 2 sections! I don't think any of us moved (we were already few before) so why change? The top ten's going to be brutal... as CJ says, the TOUGH TEN... I think our adviser is Mrs. Adri. I'm actually 90% sure she is, based on our bulletin board with ALGEBRA written on it. Yipee. Not.

Tomorrow, after settling into class, the discipline committee members are to proceed to their assigned classrooms. Estella, a second year student, and I were assigned to Grade One Red under Ms. Jela's care. MA's with her sister, assigned to the other grade one section. And Therese's with CJ handling grade 3. We are to stay with them for the whole morning in the auditorium. So we won't be able to bond with our class yet. -sigh- When we found out about this, MA and I comforted ourselves with the thought that at least WE will be near each other, thinking we would be classmates. BROKEN RECORD! You see, MA and I with 2 other friends of ours have been classmates since 1st year! There's an unspoken bond between the four of us, and now I broke away from them!

So goodbye summer 09, the last summer before graduating at Colegio de Sta. Rosa... hello Senior year. I want this year to be the BEST. No regrets, though I'm starting to think that that's not possible...

Anyway, we attended mass at Greenbelt this afternoon. And I got one of those small scrolls with Bible messages written in them. Mine read:

Humiliation can follow fame, while from obscurity a man can lift his head. A man may buy much for little, but pay for it seven times more.
- Sirach 20: 10

Beautiful isn't it? Well, off to bed. Need to get some shut eye if I am to be alert for tomorrow. Hope it'll turn out okay. Go go go! :)

tick tock tick tock :)

YM sucks.

No, really. It's been 2 days since we (M, E and of course me. :D) had a decent conference without it ending briefly. The cause? YM sucks. One of us would start a conference but not all of us can see each other's messages.

YM sucks. Twitter's cool and Meebo's our gay (according to E) alternative!

Anyway, school is about to start in a few days time... I haven't covered my books, cleaned my bag or even set my sleeping time straight. I think I'm nocturnal, somniferous during the day. :D I don't want to go to school yet, though I don't want the classes to be moved due to the H1N1 panic. I miss my friends but I'm scared to know whether or not they'll be my classmates for the last time. M & I were supposed to go to school last Monday to check the sections. Unfortunately (or not) it's going to be posted this friday. :| Delaying the inevitable? Is that a sign?

Signs are bad. When I was buying some school supplies at National Bookstore, I came across the Book Of Answers. I was texting M at that time, and so I asked whether or not we'd be classmates. Tentenenen! The answer was...

NO.

Just plain negative. I don't know what to think of it.

Actually, no. I don't want to think of it right now! I'll just ramble about the upcoming New Moon movie. I saw the trailer this morning. And after watching it, I thought... BORING. It gives too much of the beginning away. The Twilight trailer was better, and that's saying something.

My only driving force to watch this movie on theaters is because of TAYLOR LAUTNER.
Reason? Um, hello. Just look at him at the trailer! Get it? :)) E's driving force may be him or Dakota Fanning who plays Jane.

Well, I'm trying to make the most out of this summer now that it's days away from my Senior Year. How? I splurged on ANIME (Pandora Hearts and Princess Tutu (I know, I know. But I used to like it! I still like it!)), MANGA (Hana to Akuma), MUSIC (soundtripin' the summer away) and of course various E-BOOKS and Fictionpress Romances. (too many to list) Oh, and YM of course. Even Peanutz is going all watching Gakuen Alice (courtesy of Moi), Digimon (apparently there's a cute guy much like Natsume) and Boys Over Flowers (Mom's to blame)! I haven't seen much of my other cousin though... after we hacked his site... he isn't paying his debts!

Summer's about to end...

... I still haven't decided on a college course.

Again again.

Ahah. Late again. :P

Updates:

David Archuleta is freakin' CUTE, SWEET, TALENTED AND KYA~!

So we (Me, Mom & Tita Cathy) watched the concert. We had a GREAT time even though Archie was only as big as my thumb is my point of view. But anywayz, there's a big screen right? And whenever he smiles the crowd goes wild! :) kya~! He's awesome. Cook was okay but I didn't know much of his songs. And anyway, according to Mo Twister at Magic 89.9, the Philippines is an Archie Republic! :D

I was a bit depressed after the concert cause I didn't get a poster. Actually, I did. Someone dropped it. I got it. He came back. I gave it. -sigh- So we got home at about 12 midnight and for some reason, I decided to open up Twitter. Maybe cause I was still hyper from the concert. So anyway, I checked twitter and Archie updated! 4 minutes ago! He posted a video on youtube:

He's so sweet. He's still wearing the same clothes he wore during his performance and his voice is so small and low. He must be really tired and yet the first thing he did after the concert was to say THANK YOU! Sweet. Oh so sweet.

New news (nice one.)

I got a new laptop! :D I'm using it now as I type. My old one is with Ally.

Anywayz, Dad didn't give me much detail about it. He just said it was a Toshiba Satellite 15.4 inches with a built-in webcam and Wi Fi. I searched and found lots of toshiba satellites! Only one with BLUETOOTH. And I hoped that would be the one. Now here it is! :D

Oh, and we (Me & Peanutz) also hacked Jom's multiply site so he'll pay his debts. Meanie.

Moshi Monsters! :)

AHAHAHAH. update.

Wow. How long has it been? ... who cares. :))

So what should I ponder to ramble about this... evening. Was that even grammatically correct? ... who cares. [[yet again.]] I'm going to start a list of things that has happened since... I can remember. Okay, since my last post which was about... holy hell! I haven't updated since PROM!?!

Okay. Let's start with that.

  1. Prom was (unfortunately) boring. My friends and I spent the evening in the girl's bathroom (It's a 5-star hotel bathroom so it isn't icky!) contemplating on why Mariel bought shoes she couldn't walk on.
  2. ... ah yes. Chemistry Investigatory Project. Well, it sucked. (Of course.) I mean, it's hard to accomplish such a thing by yourself. I mean, come on! ALL of my GROUPMATES were part of the COTILLION! Anyways, it's what I'd like to remember as a "Been there, Done that." sort of thing.
  3. What else? Skip the exams and procrastinating bits... ah yes! The recognition day. Yours truly was shocked to find out that she is the IT awardee (I want this award!) AND CLE awardee (shockers. really.) AND rank 4 in our batch! WOW. FOUR! One more and I could have a medal! Anywayz, while I was shocked to the bone, my friends (another shock as well) weren't surprised. Well, they beat Mom's reaction thought. She slipped as we were hurrying to get the CLE award.
  4. Dad got me a Nokia E71. It's RED. I love it! I try to tweet with it daily! (Yes. I have a twitter account now.) My cellphone's the same as Chuchi's (hers is white) and my pediatrician. (Holy hell! My phone's the same as my DOCTOR's!)
  5. Dad also got us a PSP. (4GB, slim, white) Though Ally's been hogging it most of the time. Like ALWAYS.
  6. I got a (quoting Jom) Big Ass USB. It's an external RED harddrive. I've been downloading reflexive arcade games since.
  7. Estelle, Mariel and CJ went here last Holy Week. Procession and stuff. "Annick! Ang banal ng pamilya mo!" LOL.
  8. We (family) went to NBS at Cubao and I bought TONS of books that I still haven't finished reading cause of AHEAD.
  9. AHEAD. My review center with Kuya LA. Kuya Dan's in the afternoon class.

I'll expand on the latter topic next time. This blog post is DONE.

Movies watched AND adored (with Jom and Therese): Watchmen & 17 again.

Watched alone and adored: Cruel Intentions.

Random.

February 3, 2009

there's always a first...

The week of the prom, and it's like the only thing we ever talk about! Today we had our prom orientation- about proper etiquette, dress codes, the program and other preparations. After school, mom and I picked up my gown at Sari-Sari. Let's just say that I saw it in a better light now. Hell, even the 'fashionistas' at home (in other words, every female plus one gay) thought it was nice. Now all I need to worry about is walking in those heels and my hair and make-up. I can practice not breathing in between. Heh. It's even ironic that our lesson in AP - French Revolution - has somehow made a connection to my dress.

French Revolution - abuse of Nobility's powers and priveleges - King Louis XVI - Marie Antoinette - gowns - corsets - my gown. Get it?

Anyway, another shocking incident today, or tomorrow to be precise is me (and Erika as my partner) being the Student Teacher in CLE for the grade five students. Naturally, I worried about what I was going to wear. A teacher in Chucks? I'd like it but no. "It's simply isn't done." -Now where have I heard that? Good thing I fit Chuchi's slacks and my mom's shoes. Bandoy is also a student teacher- for Filipino! Go Tatay! :)

Gah. I need to sleep. But I have to do my filipino homework first.

I still LOVE Katy Perry's song Thinking of You. :)

Happy Moments :) -- the recent memorable ones.

Jom: [reading the DVD excerpt of Wild Child]... addicted to Jimmy Choos. Who's he?
Annick: They're shoes.

-While watching Wild Child-
~Emma Roberts falls into the water~
Therese: Wow!
That's a big swimming pool!

Jom: That's the
ocean.
Bittersweet read. ♥ Six Feet From Paradise by JD Allen ~ something worth publishing.
It seems as if I can't get the idea of a bittersweet romance (parted by death) out of my head this holiday... I'm so weird.

December 27, 2008

my poor, sore feet

We went to EK that afternoon. I spent almost the whole trip multitasking: sleeping and using my heavy head to push the car sun shield whilst listening to my iPod. My Lolo was crankin' up his old tunes in his cassette you see. So anywayz, we arrived at EK- which my adorable younger brother and cousin (both wearing matching shirts) believed to be Disneyland- 2 hours later. It was no surprise the line was long. So many families and barkadas out for the holidays as well. So while we waited in line, I munched on some Cheetos :) When we finally entered, the first ride we got on is: The Grand Carousel. It's a pity that it's the only ride my Lolo can go on (he opted for a 150 ticket, 120 really since there's a Senior Citizen discount) and he didn't want to ride. But it's okay. I managed to get his pic while he had my toki-doki slung over his shoulders. The next ride we went on is Wheel of Fate. The line was so long that it took us about and hour or more before we finally got on! We thought the fireworks would come at 7 then and we would see it whilst on the ride. Sadly, it came at around 10. And we were inside the Rialto theater (after about 2 hours of waiting in line and 2 sessions of 'fake snow')... and it wasn't even that good! By that time, my feet were killing me and my stomach was growling. My Tita went to buy some rice-in-a-box, sadly, they were out of rice. So we ate Pizza. I ate a slice, my younger cousin (about 3 years old) ate 2 slices and a half. My Tita claims he loves pizzas.

Finally, we went to Rio Grande Rapids. The highlight of this whole trip. Here's the breakdown:
  • Long yet fast moving line
  • Just me, Ally, Chuchi and Tita Cat [[Others went to ride the Carousel again. :P]]
  • A discovery. A blackmail discovery with permanent proof for the whole EK to see. :)
  • Chuchi's pregnancy look, courtesy of my toki-doki bag.
  • The guy in the pink shirt's wet look. :))
  • Me. Getting drenched because of the waterfall. Yet again. For the third time straight.

Then we had our little pictorial. We went home at closing time: 12 midnight. We stopped by McDo where there was an abundance of other EK goers, a shortage in chicken and an almost brawl between a guy (w/ Santa's stomach) and a feisty female. Oh the drama. And again, slept all the way home.

Oh. And BTW, I saw another mushy-sweet couple that day. They were on a trip. Remember that I wrote of a romance idea I thought of, with the guy getting sick and all that drama and I saw an opposite @ Church? Well, I imagined a trip for that made-up guy and girl in my head to spend his "last days."

Am I paranoid or what?

December 25, 2008

got magic? ♥

Merry Christmas!!!

Wow. This christmas was truly memorable. No, nothing remarkable happened such as win the lotto, a Euro-trip or a visit from St. Nicholas or such. It's memorable because my wish came true... you know, the Misa de Gallo wish... I wished for a very happy Christmas. And I was happy. Until I screwed everything myself, that is.

So here's the thing. December 24 was spent... as any other day. Lounging around in my pajamas, surfing the net, occasionally snacking and daydreaming. We were going to attend Mass that evening at St. Andrew's and about a month ago, I already had my 'Christmas attire' [[It's a Filipino thing I guess.]] ready... which was kind of unlike me. [[Bootleg jeans and a pink (yes, pink. I know, what was I thinking? Apparently, none.) blouse. No!]] But I felt comfortable in it. Which was weird, considering that I'm the kind of person who'd rather blend in the environment and remain unnoticed. [[Which is ironic considering my eccentricity.]] Well, I was still wearing my all-time favorite Chucks and watch (I guess) to still feel... me. Well, I have to deduce that my good mood must have been the afterglow of eating strawberries and cream. [[Made my day, and Christmas eve.]]

Putting aside my unusual clothing choices, [[my Lolo even commented on the color! My Lolo! A male! get it?!?]] we headed off to Church. We were surprised at the number of people in attendance. We had to sit separately then, Chuchi and I at the back, Ate Belle at the left on the row infront of us and the rest [[Mom, Dad, Bro, Ally and Ate Loi]] 2 rows infront of us. So what's with me mentioning the seating arrangements? Well, it's not that important. Just the couple sitting beside me, that's all. What's with this couple? I've been daydreaming about them. No, not in the stalkerish or deja vu kind of way, just... the idea. Their 'Flavor of Love' - Hana Yori Dango people. You see, for the past few days, I've been toying around the idea of a bittersweet kind of romance [[the product of romance stories @ Fictionpress and other stuff]] wherein the guy... dies at the end. Like "She's Dating the Gangster" except reverse. So anyway, the girl sitting next to me was... kind of pale and sickly [[opposite in my fantasy though]]. Almost the entire time she was sitting down. And almost the entire time, he held her hand.

That was such a cute scene! What a strange coincidence huh? Anway, the girl seemed nice. She stood up during the Lord's Prayer and held my hand. Which means, she is not a snob. Since no one rarely holds hands with strangers anymore, me included. -Sigh- They're such a cute couple. Looking at them is heartwarming and sweet. :) I hope they'll stay together forever.

Uh-oh, here comes the sap/romanticist in me.

Oh and by the way, the priest who celebrated the mass was Afro-American. I found it hard to understand his way of speaking. But nonetheless, I learned a lesson from him! "The Purpose of Christmas is to share the Love of Christ." ... or something like that.

Well, a downside that evening was my inability to stay awake till midnight. I owe Jom a 1 year supply of load after a stupid bet. But using the tricks up my sleeve, I'll give him 365 worth of load. 1 Peso per day. Hah! Take that Ruby Kuneho! =P

Oh, and I got a gift from Santa! Surprisingly. I got a book by Bo Sanchez entitled "How to be really really really happy!" My mother laid her claim as the next to read it soon after I tore the wrapper. I finished it earlier today. No surpise. I was reading Angels and Demons on Christmas day. Forgive me.

December 25

I ate a very very excellent ham for breakfast, with [[get this]] lechon-shaped bread from Julie's bakeshop. For lunch, I ate chicken from KFC, Lola's Kare-kare, rice [[duh]] and fruit salad - that's about half of what was served! For dinner, rice, chicken, sisig and leche flan for dessert. What I did? I slept. [[Hehehehe.]] And later that afternoon we went to Greenhills and then to Robinsons Galleria where I played babysitter. That night, I also spent gushing about Peanutz's new cellphone, which I claimed to be my soulmate considering that it's a.) flip open b.)ORANGE c.)Has lots of memory including bluetooth and d.) has a Panda chain. We ended up talking about our childhood experiences. Well, MY embarrassing childhood experiences that is.

Now that I've written it down. It seems so... normal and plain. But it's really a miracle and God's gift how I kept on smiling no matter how much I screwed up [[you know. My usual issues]].

Oops. It's past midnight!

We're going to EK tommorrow... err, later.

BTW, the title of this post came from a guy's statement shirt I saw during the evening mass. I want that shirt.
